BACK STORY
My interests, passions and loves all tie in (pardon the pun!) with hair. School lunch times consisted of braiding friend’s hair and taking inspiration from photos of captivating styles. My journey led me from learning how to braid my own hair in primary school to starting my hairdressing career in 2013.
My time working at two beautiful hair salons, led me to realise that I had a specific passion for hair styling. I took the leap of faith, and this is where A Hairstylist Secret was created.
Taking that step was the best thing I could have done. I now work for myself full time, collaborating with other like-minded vendors, joining in on beautiful photo shoots and meeting incredible clients.
What To Expect
I pride myself on being efficient with my styling. Never rushing but never stressed for time. I know how long it takes for my styling and I’ll have always ensured extra time to allow for any touch ups or changes.
Making the experience with A Hairstylist Secret personal is very important to me. I take a keen interest in the details of your event - from the shoes you are wearing, to how you met your bridesmaids and of course, how you met your significant other. Building a trust and connection with my clients is something I take great pleasure in.
I am always evolving where ever I can. I find myself hunting for constant growth in my knowledge within the industry and am always updating with new trends. There are no limits to the new products I love to rave about and new services I love to introduce.

Do I have my hair or make up done first?Make up before Hairstyling! Its better to style hair around the face after make up is done. Also avoiding any face sprays affecting the hair.

When can I book my hair trial?5 months from your wedding date. Tuesdays - Fridays availability

How far in advance can I book my wedding?I do not book wedding parties over 10 months, I cannot commit to dates outside this time period. Please enquire on the 1st of the month that is 10 months from your date.

Do you have a minimal for bookings and travel?Travel to your chosen location within 1 hour is a minimum of 4 adult hair styles. Travel over 1 hour is a minimum of 5 adult hair styles. Parties less then 4 people will need to travel to the salon.

Do you offer hair extensions?Yes, Hair extensions are available to purchase or hire for your special event.

Where is the salon located?The AHS Salon is in Yarra Glen.

What Shampoo and Conditioner do you recommend?I stock the brand Davines at Ahairstylistsecret. This would be my most recommended brand, if you need help with choosing the right products for you please don’t hesitate to ask.

Are trials compulsory?Trials are highly recommended.

Do you work Sundays?Sundays are for group bookings over 4 people and wedding parties only.
